How we build trust at Ciao

Authors

Trust is the foundation of home-sharing. When you share your space or stay in someone else's home, you want to feel safe and confident. Here's how we build trust at Ciao:

Vetted community

We're selective about who joins Ciao. We check personal information and screen both hosts and guests. Everyone shares their socials once they join. This creates a community where everyone can connect and get to know each other – ensuring not just safety, but great experiences all around.

Clear expectations

We keep things structured and transparent. Every listing includes detailed description, photos, maximum number of guests among other things. We also provide guidance to help you connect and organise your stays. That way, guests know what to expect, and hosts can set the right boundaries upfront.

Security deposits

Money matters, and we make sure it’s handled smoothly. Deposits make the rental process secure, and provide a clear cancellation policy. Hosts know they’ll be paid and guests can feel confident about where their money is going. No opportunity for scams, no last-minute surprises.

Support when you need it

Sometimes things don't go as planned. That's why our team is always ready to help – whether you need assistance with a booking issue, or need help resolving a concern with your host or guest.

People like you

Ciao is built for like-minded professionals who value flexibility and trust. This isn’t just another rental platform – it’s a network of people who understand each other’s needs. Many of us joined by invitation from a friend or colleague, and nearly everyone has common connections. We are here to help each other save money and travel more, it’s not a platform for agents and Airbnb-professionals.

Trust takes time to build, but at Ciao, we made it a priority from day one. We're committed to making your experience smooth, safe, and stress-free.
